Adam’s Apple Orchard | Ault
Formerly Masonville Orchards, Adam’s Apple Orchard & Country Store is a you-pick apple orchard in Ault. They primarily grow apples along with several varieties of plums and pears, and eventually pumpkins and other fall produce later in the season. Visitors are invited to pick their own fruit during their 11-12 week picking season in the fall (mid-August through October), and shop their country store, which has a diverse selection of fruits, jams, cider, jellies and salsas. Bartels Farm | Fort Collins
Bartels Farm is a family-owned and family-operated farm in Fort Collins established all the way back in 1905. Following tradition, the current owners still grow organic corn, hay, wheat and barley, but are also known throughout the region for their expansive pumpkin patch and vegetable garden. Through the fall season, you can pick your own pumpkins, go on a hayride, find your way through a corn maze, and enjoy more fall-themed fun. And during the spring and summer, Bartels Farm grows a variety of crops, including tomatoes, cucumbers, a variety of peppers, broccoli, carrots, watermelon, cantaloupe, herbs, flowers and much more. Berry Patch Farms | Brighton
Berry Patch Farms is a USDA certified organic farm in Brighton operated by farm owners Tim and Claudia Ferrell since 1991. And since 1994, the 40-acre farm has offered pick-your-own fruit and vegetables to visitors with no fees or membership dues. Pick-your-own is limited to strawberries (mid-June and mid-June through September), tart cherries (late June through mid-July), black raspberries (mid-July through late July), strawberries and raspberries (early August through September), basil (mid-July to the freeze), pickling cucumbers (mid-July through September), and flowers (mid-July through September). All other produce will be picked by the Berry Patch Farms team and is available in their Barn Store.
Garden Sweet | Fort Collins
Garden Sweet has been providing vegetables, berries, flowers and herbs for the Fort Collins community for more than 15 years. Their market-style CSA allows you to pick and choose the produce you want so you can take home exactly what your family needs, and it includes picking your own berries, pumpkins and flowers in the Garden Sweet fields. Essentially, members get free admission and a $200 credit towards pick-your-own berries and flowers — and apples in September, if conditions allow. For more information about membership, click here. Here’s another one to add to your fall to-do list! Miller Farms is a working farm in Platteville that throws an exceptional Fall Festival every year from Labor Day through mid-November. Included in the cost of admission, kids of all ages are invited to explore the farm, harvest their own vegetables straight from the dirt, take a hayride through 180 acres of farm fields, journey through the corn maze, play in kids play areas, see antique tractors, climb the hay pyramid and more. Available vegetables include potatoes, carrots, onions, beets, Indian corn, squash, peppers, and of course, pumpkins (which are technically a fruit)!
Ya Ya Farm & Orchard | Longmont
Part of a historic century-old farm specializing in heirloom apples, Ya Ya Farm & Orchard is a you-pick-it apple orchard situated in Longmont. While not certified organic, this 8-acre farm practices natural and organic methods. Weather dependent, you can pick your own fruit at Ya Ya Farm, starting with cherries in early July, then apples in late July through mid-October, followed by pears in September and October. All fruits require a reservation, while flowers are available for you-pick without a reservation, during farm stand hours between July and November. They have beautiful dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers, and many other long-lasting cut flower options!
