Beer sipping is a quintessential summertime activity here in Fort Collins. After all, the city holds more than 20 breweries producing 70 percent of the state’s craft beer and 7 percent of the nation’s, making it the unofficial craft beer capital of Colorado.
And thankfully, our breweries have opened their doors (or at least their outdoor patios!) just in time to coincide with the idyllic weather we enjoy during the summer. But of course, there are many guidelines and restrictions in place for summer 2020 to keep patrons safe, including mask wearing upon arrival, social distancing and more. To help you navigate it all, and enjoy patio season to the fullest, we put together this guide to Fort Collins breweries for this summer. Black Bottle Brewery
As of June 3, Black Bottle Brewery is open for dine-in food and beer at 50% capacity. They are open daily from 12–8 p.m., operating on a first come, first served basis, which may change as time goes on. Additionally, they are still offering their food and beer to-go, including their half-price growler fills every day! Follow Black Bottle on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
CooperSmith’s Pub & Brewery
The “Pubside” and “Poolside” of CooperSmith’s are currently open, in addition to extended patio seating, following all county and state rules. The family-friendly poolside area offers more indoor and outdoor seating, pizza, burgers, their beers, and games, which are available with social distance restrictions in place (and extra cleaning and sanitizing procedures are taken between guests). They are not accepting reservations at this time, but ask all guests to call the restaurant 30 minutes ahead of time to put your name on a wait list. They ask that all guests wear a mask any time they are not seated at their table. Equinox Brewing
Equinox is now open for in-house dining and drinking at their taphouse — and is still offering to-go orders via curbside pickup. They have limited seating inside, in their beer garden, and in their new patio area. They ask all guests to wear masks and come as a group (of less than eight people). If you have had a fever or COVID-19 symptoms within the last 14 days, you will not be seated. They are continuing to expand their hours of operation, and are currently open Wednesday and Thursday from 2–8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 2–9 p.m., and Sunday from 2–7 p.m. Follow Equinox on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
Funkwerks

Funkwerks is back open for business — with a strict seating policy in place! At this time, they are not taking reservations and tables are available on a first come, first served basis. A host will greet you upon arrival and take your group (as long as it is less than eight people) to a table. You are not allowed to seat yourself or move to another table. Masks are not required when seated at your table, but must be worn when you move throughout the brewery. Everything is done “table service” style, which means bartenders will come to you to take your order, and you will leave all glassware and dirty dishes at the table when you’re done! Gilded Goat Brewing
Gilded Goat is open for sit-down drinking this summer! Order at the bar and wear a mask any time you are not seated at your table. Avoid congregating around the bar and instead wait until there is free space before you place your order. Leave all glassware at the table so staff can adequately sanitize each surface between groups. And as always, wash your hands thoroughly and maintain a 6-foot distance from others. High Hops Brewery
High Hops Brewery first opened with a reservation system but is now operating on a first come, first served basis. They are following all policies in place in accordance with Colorado’s state guidelines, which includes a maximum of 8 people per group, social distancing, masks worn while not seated, etc. At this time, High Hops is only offering outdoor seating so plan accordingly to avoid bad weather, as their umbrellas cannot be moved or adjusted to add shade. Food trucks will be parked on site and are cooking orders once they are received, so allow plenty of time for your order to be ready. Horse & Dragon Brewing Company

Horse & Dragon’s tasting room is now open Thursdays and Fridays from 3–7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12–7 p.m. for seated parties of 1–8 people. As with other breweries, you are asked to wear a mask when not seated, maintain a 6-foot distance while in line and an 8-foot distance between seated parties, and wash your hands as much as possible. Intersect Brewing
Intersect is following all the county and state guidelines set in place, including mask wearing, social distancing, etc. Plus, they ask guests to not move any tables or chairs and minimize movement throughout the brewery, and avoid mingling with other groups. Groups are limited to no more than six people and bar seating is prohibited. The pinball machines are closed off and the kids areas/board games have been removed for the time being. Jessup Farm Barrel House
As of May 27, Jessup Farm Barrel House is open for both on-site service and to-go sales. Their temporary hours of operation are Monday–Sunday from 11 a.m.–9 p.m., and their on-site service is operating on a first come, first served basis for both indoor and outdoor seating. Walk-in business is still welcome for to-go beer sales, which includes bottles and growler fills. For curbside pickup of to-go beer orders, place your order through their website. Maxline Brewing

Maxline is open once again with their normal hours of operation! They are partnering with a number of food trucks, including Dickey’s BBQ, Panhandler’s Pizza and more, to provide a variety of food options. In addition to requiring face masks, Maxline is not allowing self-seating inside or outside, and parties are limited to six people or less. They are operating on a first come, first served basis. Mash Lab Brewing
Mash Lab is open both inside and outside, with additional outdoor seating set up in the parking lot under shaded tents. Tables will be limited to eight people, so if your group is larger, you will have to be separated. Their indoor seating is limited to 50% capacity, so come prepared to sit outside! McClellan’s Brewing Co.
McClellan’s is now open for dine-in, with a few rules in place! As always, they ask that you stay home if you are feeling sick whatsoever and bring your mask to be worn when you are not seated at your table. They are not providing their regular plastic menus and ask that you access their online menu from your phone. McClellan’s is operating at 50% capacity, which is about 37 people. New Belgium Brewing Company

New Belgium’s outdoor patio is open every day from 12–8 p.m. at limited capacity with no standing room service. Before you arrive, make a reservation through OpenTable to ensure a spot and wear a mask upon your arrival (and whenever you’re not seated at your table). Please do not move tables and remain at your table unless you are using the restroom or ordering food from the food trucks. Children and dogs are allowed but must remain close to their guardians throughout the visit. They will not be accepting cash at this time, and touchless payments may be made through the Arryved Service app. All beers will be served in single-use cups and you are asked to clear your table before heading out. Odell Brewing Co.
Both of Odell’s taprooms, in both Fort Collins and Denver, have reopened for business. The Fort Collins taproom is open Wednesday–Sunday from 12–7 p.m. They are offering outside seating only at this time, and are operating at a limited capacity. Be sure to wear your mask when you enter the taproom to place your order and maintain safe distances from other people. Online ordering and curbside pickup will still be available! Prost Brewing Tasting Room
Prost is open for both on-site and to-go service with a few safety precautions in place! To-go service is still available Monday–Wednesday from 12–6 p.m. and on-site service is offered Thursday–Sunday from 12–9 p.m. Of course, be conscious of social distancing guidelines, wear a mask when you are not seated, and wait for a host to seat you at your table. All tables and walkways are spaced 6 feet apart and party sizes are limited to eight people or less. Tables and all surfaces will be disinfected between seatings. Rally King Brewing
After maintaining temporary hours for a bit, Rally King Brewing is back to their normal taproom hours, which includes Monday–Thursday from 2–9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 12–10 p.m., and Sunday from 12–8 p.m. Plus, Rally King celebrates happy hour all day long on Mondays! Stop by for Rally King’s “Sour Friday,” where a new limited small-batch fruit sour is released every Friday at noon. And on Sundays, celebrate Sunday Slushie with a rotating variety of refreshing slushie beers available in 4-, 10-, and 12-ounce pours. All Rally King beers are available in-house or to-go in 16-ounce cans and 32- or 64-ounce growlers. Located right off of the Spring Creek Trail, Rally King is a great bike destination. Rally King requests that all patrons wear a mask when entering/exiting the building, ordering beer at the register, and while walking to the restroom. Snowbank Brewing
The taproom, which includes both indoor and outdoor seating, is open at Snowbank with varying hours. Dogs are allowed outside and masks are required when guests are not seated. There are usually food trucks parked out front on Fridays and Saturdays — or you can bring your own food or have it ordered in. Zwei Brewing

Zwei Brewing is open for taproom and beer garden service Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Make sure you are wearing a mask upon arrival or ask a staff member for one if you don’t have one. Check in at the bar with your party and have IDs ready to be checked. Once you have your beer, make your way to your table. All guests must remain at their table unless they are ordering or using the restrooms. Tables are spaced 6 feet apart and sanitized tables are marked with a green block. Once you are finished, please leave your glass on the table to serve as a visual marker for the staff to re-sanitize the table.
