Halloween is coming up and we’re already scheming and dreaming about our costumes for this year. Because what’s better than dressing up as your favorite character? The answer is: dressing up with your family and friends!
That’s why we’re sharing some fun and creative group costume ideas, perfect for a group of three or more, whether it’s your family, best friends or coworkers. After all, we are The Group Real Estate — and we believe everything is better together!
Alice in Wonderland Characters
Alice in Wonderland is the perfect fun and whimsical theme for your group, especially since there are so many characters to choose from, including The Mad Hatter, the King and Queen of Hearts, the Five of Spades, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and of course, Alice!
The Avengers
You can’t go wrong with the classic superhero theme, and the Avengers puts a new, modern spin on this tried-and-true costume idea. Simply pick out your favorite character from the bunch, whether it’s Iron Man, Black Panther, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man or the Hulk!
The Breakfast Club
If you have a group of five, you might consider throwing it back with a tribute to The Breakfast Club. You’ve got Claire (the “princess”), Andrew (the “athlete”), John (the “criminal”), Brian (the “brain”), and Allison (the “basket case”). This is an easy one to recreate with a trip to the thrift store — or maybe even your own closet!
Circus Animals + Ringmaster
If your home regularly feels like a circus, consider dressing in character with your family — as a lion, an elephant, a mime, a bearded lady, a strongman, and of course, a ringmaster to keep everyone in line!

It doesn’t matter how old you are — the Toy Story franchise continues to make an impact, generation after generation. Dress up as Woody, Jessie, Buzz, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Hamm, or another obscure toy from any of the four movies.
The Wizard of Oz Characters
If you’ve got a group of four, dress up as The Wizard of Oz characters! You’ve got Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion, and if you have more in your crew, you can throw in Glenda and/or the Wicked Witch of the West. And if you have a little fur baby who wants to join the fun, you can make them Toto!
