Pride Month is here! But why limit the celebration of Pride to one month?

Here in Northern Colorado, we’re celebrating all summer long with a mixture of in-person and virtual events, from parades and marches, plus a few local organizations you can support with a donation.

Whether you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community or consider yourself an ally, you are invited to participate! Read on for a handful of ways to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community in NoCo this June and beyond.

Happy Pride!

Denver Pride 2021

While you’re in Northglenn for PRIDE Night, make your way to Denver for Denver Pride, a two-day celebration with both in-person and virtual activities planned. This year’s festivities will include a virtual marketplace, an in-person and virtual 5K race, a virtual parade, and a series of smaller “Pride Hubs” hosted at various venues throughout the city. No matter how you participate, Denver Pride is an excellent opportunity to “celebrate our past achievements, stand-up against our present obstacles, and to unite as a community.”

Donate to a Local LGBTQ+ Organization

Sometimes, one of the best ways to support the LGBTQ+ community is by giving a donation to a local organization focused on equity and inclusion. We have quite a few in our midst, including:

Northern Colorado Equality “seeks to empower the LGBTQIA+ community and [their] allies through activities, programs, services and education.” Your donation to Northern Colorado Equality goes directly towards building services, programs and events for their members and the community at large.

SPLASH Youth of NoCo serves LGBTQIA+ youth ages 5-24, their families, schools, and community connections by providing support, resources, referrals, social belongingness and special events, in Larimer and Weld Counties. You can support SPLASH through a donation here!

PFLAG Greeley meets regularly in the Greeley area and is dedicated to “providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community, their families and friends, and allies to share their stories.” Your donation helps support PFLAG’s programs!

Purchase Artwork from Camy the Mermaid Art‘s Pride Flag Collection

Local artist Camy the Mermaid has a special Pride Flag Collection, which features 30 designs available as stickers, magnets, posters, pillows, clothing, mugs and so much more. The best part? 100% of proceeds received as commission from Redbubble will be donated to SPLASH Youth! This is an excellent way to add some beautiful, unique artwork to your life while supporting a local LGBTQIA+ program.

Happy Pride!
