If she loves chocolate, skip the grocery store aisle and go straight to the source — the best source in town. Nuance Chocolate creates small-batch, bean-to-bar chocolates made straight from cocoa beans roasted and ground inside their Old Town facility. You can pick up these delicious and authentic creations in the form of fresh truffles, single-origin and flavored bars, hot chocolate and more. Pick up a box of chocolates as a surprise or take her to their Old Town shop for a hands-on chocolatey experience. You can even order a taster flight if you can’t pick just one to try!
Get creative with mom by taking a painting class together! Pinot’s Palette has returned to in-person classes but they still offer a few virtual classes every once in a while. Their calendar is packed with a variety of classes to choose from, with a variety of beautiful scenes and subjects you’ll recreate on your own canvas. Each class includes all the supplies you’ll need — and a bar with wine and other offerings!

Visit the Gardens on Spring Creek + Shop the Spring Plant Sale
A visit to the Gardens on Spring Creek is a quintessential Mother’s Day activity — especially for the moms who love gardening! Take her to this gorgeous 18-acre botanical garden packed with stunning blooms and greenery — plus a tropical Butterfly House home to 300+ North American butterflies. During Mother’s Day weekend, the Gardens on Spring Creek is hosting their annual Spring Plant Sale, which will be held virtually once again. Member presale opens on Tuesday, May 4 at noon and the public sale begins Thursday, May 6 at noon and extends until Monday, May 17 at 5 p.m. Curbside pickup will be offered from May 12–21.
