While 2020 brought many challenges to Northern Colorado, if there’s one thing we would actually like to stick to after the pandemic is over, it’s curbside cocktails!
Last March, as many restaurants and bars were closing their doors for in-person dining, many innovative small business owners had a brilliant idea: offering ready-made cocktails or cocktail kits in cans, bottles or mason jars that locals could take away and enjoy at home. While it is almost a year later, many Fort Collins bars and restaurants are still selling to-go cocktails to let customers support them while also staying safe.
We rounded up a few recommendations right here, from restaurants offering bottled selections to “Choose Your Own Adventure” drink options online. So, let someone else do the bartending this evening!
We don’t know what we would have done without Social’s tasty cocktails and food offerings in 2020! Luckily, you still don’t have to go without their creations with curbside pickup. Currently, they have an incredible, seasonal menu of cocktail classics that you can get to-go, including a Lavender Sour, a Whiskey Smash, an Old Fashioned and a Rum Swizzle! Mojitos, margaritas, spiked lemonades and martinis—Blind Pig has you covered when it comes to amazing cocktails to-go in FoCo! Just visit their website to see their list of current offerings, which includes a cocktail menu along with a selection of beer, wine starters, salads, tacos, sandwiches and other entrees, and add your perfect meal to your cart. Then, just check out and head to the restaurant in person to pick up your order!
Union Bar & Soda Fountain has always been our go-to spot for incredible craft adult beverages and comfort food in Fort Collins, and a pandemic hasn’t changed that! You can order several of their fun drinks—which are inspired by soda fountain classics—online for pickup, including spirited shakes, frozés, hot toddies, and so much more. We can’t think of a better spot to get curbside cocktails than a distillery! CopperMuse Distillery has been a popular destination throughout the pandemic, and it isn’t hard to see why. They have several different handcrafted cocktails in convenient resealable pouches that are made using their own spirits. These pouches come in 16 oz. (makes 2 cocktails) and 32 oz. (makes 4 cocktails) depending on your drinking needs! Their selection is always rotating depending on the season, but right now they have Blood Orange ‘Rita, Peppery Passion, Frozen Spiced Colada and Pumpkin Chai (along with some take and make cocktail kits!) all available for online ordering and curbside pickup. Interested in making your own drinks at home but just aren’t sure where to start? Head to Simmer and pick up one of their scratch cocktail kits! Each pack makes three cocktails, which are packed without ice, and carbonated ingredients are kept fresh on the side. Just follow the simple instructions and pour into your favorite glass at home. We have desperately missed The Still’s log cabin décor, selection of over 80 Colorado whiskeys and flannel-clad staff. Fortunately, they are now open at 50% capacity and they’ve begun offering a hint of the ambiance we’re used to through takeout cocktails! Enjoy ordering full bottles of whiskey, barrel–aged Manhattans, beer, wine and cider for curbside pickup or delivery. While you’re at it, don’t forget to add a few Still-themed rocks glasses, stickers, koozies or blankets to your cart, so you can bring a bit of The Still home with you!

Mobb Mountain Distillers has always been one of our favorite spots in Fort Collins for incredible spirits and craft cocktails, and even a global pandemic hasn’t changed that. They have slowly opened their patio (while practicing social distancing and proper COVID-19 precautions, of course) and are ready to see your masked faces!
