Recently, a few Groupies received incredible honors in the industry that are worth mentioning and celebrating. Join us in congratulating Robert Walkowicz, Emily Brazil Jones and Kathleen Hollerbach on these accomplishments!
Robert Walkowicz Appointed as the Colorado Association of REALTORS® President
Robert Walkowicz was appointed as the new president of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®. In this position, Walkowicz will serve as a conduit of the organization’s 27,100 members and the board of directors. He will work in tandem with the leadership council, assisting with strategic planning and helping to set the organization’s direction and vision for the coming year. Walkowicz will serve in this new role from December 1, 2020 through November 30, 2021.
“It’s an incredible honor to be elected as the chair of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®,” Walkowicz said.
He is thrilled about the ability to represent and promote the positive impact of Realtors from around the state and be an advocate for home ownership. During the pandemic, he has worked closely with the Colorado Association of REALTORS® to help agents not only get through this difficult time with safe practices, but to learn to thrive and better serve their clients and customers.
“I’m incredibly excited to continue the work that has been started to increase diversity with the Realtor community by including groups that have not traditionally been involved with CAR at the state level and creating a stronger voice for all of us,” Walkowicz said.
Emily Brazil Jones Nominated for Biz West’s 40 Under Forty + the Fort Collins Board of REALTORS® Rookie of the Year
Emily Brazil Jones was recently named as one of Biz West’s 40 Under Forty honorees and the Fort Collins Board of REALTORS® Rookie of the Year!
Biz West’s 40 Under Forty honorees are young professionals who are shaping the future of the Boulder Valley and Northern Colorado business communities, in industries ranging from banking to law and hospitality to real estate, government to small business and higher education to insurance. These honorees are making a mark on their communities through professional success and volunteer activities.
“Honestly, it’s fun to be recognized when you work so hard for something,” Brazil Jones said. “I am humbled and proud of this accomplishment and it reiterates I am right where I need to be, helping clients every day meet or exceed their real estate goals.”
Biz West recognizes Brazil Jones’ ability to share “pearls of wisdom” with the buyers and sellers she works with. Brazil Jones is relatively new to The Group family, but has several years of experience in the industry. Since graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder, Jones has purchased, managed and sold multiple properties in Fort Collins, Denver and Vail. She started her full-time real estate career in January 2019 and four months later, became a listing agent for Lennar Homes. As a result of this partnership, Brazil Jones got to know all 225 Group partners by name and others in the real estate community.
After just a year in the industry, Brazil Jones closed 67 properties and more than $32 million in sales. She joined the Fort Collins Board of REALTORS®, becoming the Young Professionals Network chairwoman, and in September, received the Rookie of the Year award.
“Being awarded 2020 Rookie of the Year has been my biggest accomplishment yet in my real estate career,” Brazil Jones said. “I’m incredibly grateful to The Group’s leadership, mentor and coaching program, and my business partner, Deanna McCrery, for all the help along the way to help me achieve this.”
Kathleen Hollerbach Selected for the NEI Global Partner Alliance Advisory Board
And last but certainly not least, our relocation director, Kathleen Hollerbach, was selected for the NEI Global Partner Alliance Advisory Board. This selection is an incredible honor, and it reflects both Hollerbach’s work as a director as well as the quality of The Group’s relocation department as a whole.
The NEI Global Partners Alliance Advisory Board is composed of experts from across the spectrum of industries involved in managing corporate relocation. These board members are service providers and partners with NEI Global Relocation, who have achieved a level of service and assistance that is recognized as exceptional in their industries. They are called upon to advise NEI on their respective aspects of corporate relocation.
The Group has been recognized as one of these industry leaders, and has been invited to participate on this advisory board. Hollerbach now serves on this board to advise NEI from the real estate brokerage industry perspective for a two-year term. She will advise NEI’s leadership on the real estate side of the relocation business and keep them current on topics such as market conditions, trends in real estate, economic impacts and the day-to-day management of corporate relocation within a brokerage.
