March 19 | Our Communities
What a crazy March we’ve had. In the last several weeks, our country has entered a time of self distancing and quarantine in order to decrease the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. And on March 16, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment announced the closure of all bars, restaurants, theaters, gymnasiums and casinos in the state of Colorado in an effort to protect and preserve the public health. As a result, many small businesses, including local restaurants, breweries, bars, boutiques and other creative concepts are being impacted. But there are ways we can help!
Here at The Group, we are, always have been, and will always be about small local businesses. After all, we’re a small local business ourselves! Small businesses are what make our communities in Northern Colorado so special — from Fort Collins to Greeley and Loveland to Windsor, and everywhere in between.
And thanks to technology, there are some practical ways we can support the many small businesses in our midst during this time where we are instructed to stay at home and away from crowded public places. Join us in supporting our local economy by shopping online from a local boutique, purchasing a gift card from a business to redeem at a later date, or buying merch from a restaurant or brewery to show your support (both physically and financially!).
No matter what, we can help each other during this difficult and unprecedented time. Together, we can build an amazing community. One that looks after each other in the good times and the bad.
Don’t see your business (or a business you love!) on this list? Comment below with your suggestion (and the specific offerings) and we’ll get it added to our work-in-progress list.
