Our Management Team

Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1993 from the University of Colorado. His real estate career has included sales of resort real estate properties, training sales associates, implementing sales and marketing strategies, and completing market feasibility studies for developments.

Prior to joining The Group, Inc., Eric was the Managing Broker for the Summit County operations of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate in Breckenridge, Colorado. He was responsible for all aspects of the brokerage including recruiting, training and managing the sales staff, developing the company’s marketing strategy, managing the administrative staff, and overseeing the sales and marketing programs for new developments in Summit County.

Eric has completed the Achievement Leadership training from Bell Leadership Institute. He is the Vice-President of Broker Connections for the Colorado Association of Realtors.  He is also the President of the Poudre School District Foundation.

Eric is a native Coloradoan. He is married to Julie and they have two daughters, Noelle and Greta. He is an avid bicyclist and enjoys all kinds of sports and outdoor activities.

Susie Ewing joined The Group, Inc. in 1976, the year the company was founded. She has served as a Receptionist, Assistant, Escrow Officer, Business Manager, and Managing Broker. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College.

Susie is a past president of the Fort Collins Rotary Club.  She has received the Rotary Four Avenues of Service Award and the Distinguished Service Citation.  She also has served on the Rotary Scholarship Committee, the Rotary Youth Exchange, and visited Guatemala on several occasions to build two houses help with the construction of a school.  She was a member of the Leadership Fort Collins Class of 1991 and served on the steering committee in 1992. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Center for Family Outreach and The Group, Inc. Board of Directors.  She was named Realtor of the Year by the Fort Collins Board of Realtors in 2010.

Susie is married to Bob, a Sales Partner with The Group, Inc. They have three sons, Chris, Greg, and Nick. They enjoy traveling together as a family.   They have hosted numerous Rotary exchange students and summer league collegiate baseball players.  Susie enjoys reading, the outdoors,walking and movies.

Helen joined The Group, Inc. in 1980 and has held several positions during that time. She has served as the Marketing Director for the past 17 years.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Wyoming. She was a member of Leadership Fort Collins and served on the Steering Committee for two terms. She is a Past President of the Junior League of Fort Collins and Past President of National Charity League. She has served on the Board of Directors of OpenStage Theatre and was Board President in 2008-2009. She is a member of First United Methodist Church and served as co-chairman of the Administrative Council. She serves on the Board of Directors of ChildSafe, a non-profit treatment center for victims of sexual abuse and their families.  She is also a member of PEO.

Helen is married to Rob and they have two grown daughters, Libby and Molly.

Nick Hansen - Broker/Manager

Nick joined The Group Inc. in 1999 as a Sales Partner with his wife Debbie Hansen. In 2007, Nick joined the management team at The Group, Inc.

He graduated with a BS from Iowa State University and has a Masters Degree from the University of Arizona. Nick also coached the men’s and women’s swimming teams at the University of Arizona and the University of Wisconsin –Madison. During his coaching tenure, he was a member of the United States National Team Staff.

Nick is married to Debbie Hansen, a Sales Partner with The Group Inc. and they have a son Alec and a daughter Brooke. Nick enjoys working with the Loveland Swim Club and Loveland baseball. He also enjoys fishing, adventures and anything outdoors.

Larry Kendall holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University and has engaged in the real estate business for 39 years. He is the retired Chairman and one of the founding partners of The Group, Inc.

Emily Sockler - Relocation Director

Emily graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and management.  She was the recipient of The Group’s scholarship when she was a freshman at CSU.  Following graduation she secured employment with the company as the Relocation Director. 

She is a member of the Relocation Directors Council, the Employee Relocation Council and a broker member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
