The quaint town of Red Feather Lakes is built around a series of 14 lakes and is surrounded by the towering mountains of the Roosevelt National Forest. http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/arnf/ It is located about 40 miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado.

People from all over the country have found the Livermore and Red Feather Lakes area to be the perfect place for a summer home, vacation cabin or camping spot. The area also serves as the permanent home for many families whose livelihoods are tied closely to the thriving community of Fort Collins.

The village and surrounding areas offer residents and visitors services such as several general stores with gas stations, gift shops, restaurants, library, post office, churches, and fire department. Moderately priced year round housing is available for weekend getaways and for full time and retired residents. Many beautiful custom homes have been built in the area. Attracting thousands of visitors a year from all over the world, The Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, the largest and most elaborate example of Buddhist sacred architecture in North America, is located a short drive from Red Feather Lakes. After 14 years of construction, the Stupa was formally opened to the public in August of 2001.

Roosevelt National Forest is an outdoor playground: horseback riding, fishing, hiking, biking, off-road vehicle roads, and hunting. Wintertime brings cross-country skiers, snowmobilers, snow-shoeing and ice-fishing enthusiasts to the area.
