There’s no shortage of delicious meals in Fort Collins. No matter what you’re craving, you’ll find a place for it — burgers, pizza, brews — you name it. With all the different options in town, it’s tough to narrow down which ones offer meals for specialty diets. But don’t worry! If you’re looking for something meat-free and earth-conscious, there are plenty of local restaurants to try.

1. The Silver Seed

The Silver Seed was born out of a passion for delicious and earth-conscious food. Since 2014, they’ve been serving 100% plant-based meals out of their 1964 Serro Scotty Sportsman and using only local ingredients. At the beginning of this year, they began construction on their first restaurant, The Gold Leaf Collective, which will serve a similar vegan and vegetarian menu along with The Silver Seed Food Truck. Check their Facebook page for updates on the brick and mortar location.

 

2. Tasty Harmony

Not only does Tasty Harmony offer vegan and vegetarian cuisine, the foods and ingredients are organic, and most of the desserts are wheat and sugarcane free. Owners Sacha and Jill Steinhauser opened their restaurant in 2009 after extensive experience in local foods, vegetarian cooking and wellness.

 

3. Dam Good Tacos

Dam Good Tacos makes all their food from scratch daily and uses only locally-sourced Colorado tortillas. In 2012, the shop started as a gourmet quick stop in Basalt. When co-founder Michael Falco moved to Fort Collins, he took a taco mobile cart to various local breweries until he and Ali Hatcher opened their full restaurant in Dalzell Alley. Today, you can find a full menu of earth-conscious, vegan and vegetarian options.

 

4. Suh Sushi

Suh combines traditional Japanese sushi and modern, global influences to create unique and tasty rolls, bowls and combos. Their extensive Vegetarian Menu offers salads, appetizers, rice and noodle plates, and sushi. If all the options have you reeling, we recommend the Sweet Potato Tempura!

 

5. Rainbow

Rainbow serves up vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food and has been doing so since 1976. As the weather warms up, try a meat-free meal while lounging on one of the best patios in Fort Collins. Kick back in the garden atmosphere for Sunday brunch!

 

6. Maza Kabob

If you’re looking for vegetarian meals and want to try traditional Afghanistan food, Maza Kabob is the perfect combo. You can order a specialized veggie entree or order a Maza classic as a vegetarian or vegan dish. Even the Kids’ Menu offers Potato Challow as a vegetarian meal so the whole family can enjoy plant-based cuisine!

 

7. Restaurant 415

One of Fort Collins’ most popular spots, Restaurant 415 has an entire menu dedicated to specialty diets — including vegan and gluten-free. In addition to Blackened Cauliflower Steaks, Grilled Organic Tofu and several other options, they offer vegan options for nearly every pizza and salad on the menu.

 

8. East Moon Asian Bistro

The menu at East Moon Asian Bistro has an entire section to satisfy vegetarian diets. Taste traditional flavors and styles like Szechuan and Tempura without the meat. They also serve plenty of meat options as well for the carnivores in your life!

 

9. Avogadro’s Number

Avogadro’s Number is a music venue, bar and restaurant. They offer multiple vegetarian options for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can enjoy plant-based meals all day! Try the House Breakfast with a Tempeh Patty, then come back for Veggie Lasagne or a Tempeh Burger.

 

10. Mt. Everest Café

Sherpa-owned and operated, Mt. Everest Café provides Fort Collins with authentic meals from the Himalayas. This sherpa-inspired cafe has one of the warmest and unique, family-friendly atmospheres in town. Bring everyone along to try a Vegetable Samosa or eggplant curry!

 

11. Nyala Ethiopian Cuisine

Owner and chef, Etage Asrat, came to Fort Collins in 1991 and always dreamed of running her own Ethiopian restaurant. Inspired by her family back home in Ethiopia, she creates dishes with authentic spice blends using locally produced ingredients. Almost every dish is vegan and gluten-free, so stop by to sample a different culture and delicious plant-based foods as well!
