We’re entering the second half of October, which can only mean one thing: the Halloween events are picking up! And we’re not mad about it.
From haunted happenings to family-friendly festivals, this enchanting time of year offers a myriad of eerie delights. Whether you’re in search of the ultimate scare or a day of fright-free fun, our list has something to delight ghouls and goblins of all ages. So, get your costume on and let’s dive into the spooktacular happenings throughout Northern Colorado, from zombie bar crawls to themed 5Ks, costume contests to creepy concerts, trick-or-treating events to candlelit tours, and more.
Halloween Pops Concert: Spellbound
Where: Lincoln Center for the Performance Arts, Loveland
When: October 18
For the second year in a row, the Fort Collins Symphony is playing a Halloween Pops Concert at the Lincoln Center! This spooky and thrilling evening will feature live orchestral music from classical, Hollywood and Broadway scores. From Ghostbusters and the Monster Mash to the haunting strains of Night on Bald Mountain, Danse Macabre, and a newly commissioned version of The Raven, you can expect a ghoulishly good night of spellbinding music. Costumes are encouraged — but just make sure to leave any weapons at home! Tickets are $12 for students and children and $32 for adults (or $25 if you’re a season ticket holder).
Pumpkins on Parade Halloween Celebration
Where: Gardens on Spring Creek, Fort Collins
When: October 19–22
Don’t miss the third annual Pumpkins on Parade at the Gardens on Spring Creek! This family-friendly event is a celebration of Halloween and the harvest season, featuring hundreds of pumpkins and gourds arranged throughout the gardens in artistic displays. Costumes are encouraged! This event is candy-free as part of the Teal Pumpkin Project. Tickets are $10 for those 12 and over, $5 for kids ages 5–11, and free for kids under 4. Garden members receive a 20% discount!
Halloween Tours
Where: Morning Fresh Dairy Farm, Bellvue
When: October 20–22, 25, 27–29
Embark on a Halloween adventure like no other at Morning Fresh Dairy Farm! Their Halloween Tours promise a spook-tastic journey led by friendly and knowledgeable guides. As you explore this family-owned and -operated dairy farm, you’ll collect treats along the way in a special Morning Fresh Dairy goodie bag. Discover the history of the farm, step inside the charming Pleasant Valley Schoolhouse, witness the cows being milked on the Dairy-Go-Round, and peek into their milk processing and bottling plant. And don’t forget to say hello to the adorable calves! To sweeten the experience, you’ll also indulge in their delicious flavored milks and a delightful Noosa Yoghurt. Book the Halloween Tour 24 hours in advance for just $12 and be prepared for festive fun, rain or shine — and be sure to dress accordingly!
Zombie Crawl
Where: Loveland Aleworks, Loveland
When: October 21
The Loveland Zombie Crawl is taking over downtown Loveland on October 21, starting at the back lot of Loveland Aleworks. Take advantage of the on-site zombie makeup artists and participate in the costume contest for individuals, groups and children. In the meantime, enjoy food truck food and drink specials (for those 21+) at a variety of venues — as long as you are decked out in zombie attire! There will be a costume contest for Best Zombie and the top three costumes will score prizes. And at dusk, there will be a group photo before the crawl begins. This event is free and open to all ages.
Candy Crawl at Fort Collins Marketplace
Where: Fort Collins Marketplace, Fort Collins

Fort Collins Marketplace is hosting a Candy Crawl, a safe trick-or-treating event, with so much more Halloween fun in store for the whole family! There will be face painting, balloon twisting, caricature artists, spooky crafts, a pumpkin decorating station, carnival games, live entertainment, goblin train rides, stilt walkers, and more.
Greeley Trick or Treat Street
Where: Downtown Greeley
When: October 27
Calling all little goblins and ghouls, ghosts and gremlins! On October 27th, downtown Greeley will be closed to traffic for the annual Trick or Treat Street. Candy will be provided at more than 40 businesses, as well as booths and some trunk-or-treat cars. Don’t miss all the prizes and family-friendly fun — all for free!
Treatsylvania
Where: The Farm at Lee Martinez Park, Fort Collins
When: October 27–29
Enjoy a weekend of Halloween fun at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park with Treatsylvania. This is the largest annual fundraiser for the farm, attracting more than 8,000 children and their parents each year. Children ages 10 and under will receive bags filled with goodies, including coupons, promotional materials, and of course, candy! Plus, enjoy a hayride, a “not-so-spooky” barn, refreshments, photo opportunities and more. Admission is just $8 per child and adults get in for free. Treatsylvania takes place from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, 5–7 p.m. on Saturday, and 1–3 pm. and 5–7 p.m. on Sunday.
Spooky Cool Kids Club
Where: The Lyric, Fort Collins
When: October 28
The Lyric is hosting a special Halloween-themed Cool Kids Club, which will feature live performances, interactive activities, a costume contest, face painting, food and drinks, and spooky tunes. Tickets are just $10 per family!
Avery House Halloween-Themed Candlelit Tours
Where: The Avery House, Fort Collins

Experience the history of Halloween after hours with the Avery House Halloween-Themed Candlelit Tours, offered on the Saturday leading up to the holiday. Find out where certain holiday traditions started, why bobbing for apples was so important to Victorians, and many other interesting tidbits on this 30-minute tour. Tours will be offered between 6 and 8 p.m., starting on the hour and half hour, with the last one starting at 8. Your ticket includes hot apple cider and a piece of pumpkin pie — and gluten-free pie is available as well. Please note that these spooky tours may not be appropriate for small children, but you can bring little ones to the Avery House on Halloween for free candy. Purchase your tickets for this unique Halloween tradition at one of our city’s most beloved historic sites.
Hocus Pocus at the Rialto

Ghost Tales Historic Rialto Tour
Where: Rialto Theater, Loveland

After you watch Hocus Pocus, stick around for the Ghost Tales Historic Rialto Tour, presented by Backstage Rialto, a non-profit dedicated to supporting and continuing the legacy of the historic Rialto Theater. This is your chance to investigate the dark crannies behind the scenes, learn about their collection of restless souls, and experience chills first-hand. Tickets for the tour are $13 per person.
Run Fur Fun Spooktacular
Where: New Belgium Brewing, Fort Collins

Run for fun (and a good cause!) at Run Fur Fun Spooktacular, a festive fall race benefiting Animal Friends Alliance. The 5K race starts and ends at SweetWater Brewing Company, where you can enjoy a post-race celebratory beer and pancakes and fruit from Snooze after running the course! Windsor Halloween Carnival

The Windsor History Museum is hosting their annual Halloween Carnival, where you can explore the museum’s historic buildings, which will be transformed into a spooky haunted village with free candy for all. Plus, the lawn in front of the museum will have festive fall decorations, performers, face painting and a variety of local vendors with free candy. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and participants are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their own candy bags or buckets. This event is completely free and no registration is required!
Mythmaker Brewing 2nd Annual Halloween Bash
Where: Mythmaker Brewing, Fort Collins

Mythmaker Brewing is hosting their 2nd Annual Halloween Bash on Saturday, October 28. Wear your costume and participate in a ton of activities all night long. And for the first 40 people to arrive in costume, your ticket includes a special edition Halloween-themed pint glass and a complimentary taster of their special Trick-or-Treat beer. Cosmic Costume Skate

Each Halloween season, Greeley Ice Haus transforms into a spooky skating rink for their Cosmic Costume Skate event. Admission is just $6 or $2 for children 5 years and younger, and skate rental is $3! FOCO Boo Crawl

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., enjoy some fright-free fun designed for tiny tots, courtesy of generous downtown businesses. Dress up your little ones in their spookiest or silliest Halloween costumes, pack your own snack sack, and head downtown for a delightful trick-or-treat experience. Participating businesses will be ready to share sweets and smiles with your little ones!
Trick-Or-Treat The 1879 Avery House

Head to the 1879 Avery House in Old Town for a spooktacular evening of trick-or-treating on Halloween night! Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Avery House front porch at dusk, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., for a delightful Halloween treat extravaganza. This is a free and festive way to celebrate the holiday, surrounded by the charm of Old Town’s history.
Halloween Organ Extravaganza
Where: Colorado State University School of the Arts, Fort Collins

On Halloween night, CSU’s organ studio and faculty artist Joel Bacon are hosting their 18th annual Halloween Organ Extravaganza, with performances at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. The evening will feature both classic and not-so-classic works, including the famous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach. Festival of Frights

On November 4, Backstage Rialto is hosting their Festival of Frights 2023 Tequila Tasting. Explore the world of tequila with a guided tasting session led by an expert from The Bridge Bar.
