Easter is happening early this year! And during the days leading up to Easter Sunday, there is a lot to do in and around Northern Colorado.
Because of the abundance of egg hunts for kids (and even one for adults!) we decided to create our own hunt for local Easter events. So we made an interactive map that will assist you in finding the event nearest you or in your favorite community in the area! You may then align the number on the map with the corresponding event below. Or simply skip ahead to the list of events and pick your favorite from the bunch.
Whatever you do, make sure you get out there and participate in the plethora of fun Easter events as a family!
Saturday, March 19:
A) Easter Terrarium Class — Fort Collins
Saturday, March 19 | 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
Gully Greenhouse is hosting an Easter Terrarium class the weekend before Easter, giving you the opportunity to create your own miniature Easter world! The cost is $35 per person, but that includes all the supplies needed to make own terrarium. This is a fun event for all ages and lets you have a keepsake of your Easter memory for years to come.
Friday, March 25:
B) Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt — Milliken
Friday, March 25 | 8–10 p.m.
The Johnstown and Milliken communities are hosting their second annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt at Mountain View Park in Milliken. This unique hunt is for kids ages 11 through 18 years old, as it’s a little more advanced than your typical sunny-day experience. We say “unique” because it requires flashlights, and no baskets or bags are allowed. Instead, hunters must figure out how to collect the eggs they find, by sticking them in their pockets, hat, or rolling them up in their shirt! This will be a fun and memorable evening filled with Easter fun for the older kids in your family.

C) Buckhorn Community Church Easter Egg Hunt — Masonville
Saturday, March 26 | 10 a.m.
Children of all ages are invited to participate in Buckhorn Community Church’s Easter Egg Hunt in Masonville this Saturday morning. Watch the joy on their faces as they discover candy-filled eggs scattered all along the lawn in front of the church!
D) Trinity Lutheran Church Community Easter Egg Hunt — Fort Collins
Saturday, March 26 | 10–11:30 a.m.
Another free community egg hunt is happening at Trinity Lutheran Church right in the heart of Fort Collins. Kids can pose for pictures with the Easter Bunny, play games, make crafts and of course embark on an Easter egg hunt!
E) and F) Calvary Bible Church Easter Egg Hunt — Erie + Boulder
Saturday, March 26 | 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Drop by Calvary Bible Church in either Erie or Boulder any time between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. for their annual egg hunt! Kids (toddler through 5th grade) are welcome to this family-friendly Easter event that includes a special craft, food, games and other surprises. Bring baskets and blankets, and get ready to have a blast!
G) Optimist Easter Egg Hunt — Windsor
Saturday, March 26 | 10 a.m.
The Optimist Club of Windsor is hosting their annual Optimist Easter Egg Hunt at Main Park in Windsor. Your kids can take part in this fun, carefree (and free!) morning of Easter fun — as long as they bring a basket or sack to store their findings!
H) Bunny Hop Skate — Greeley
Saturday, March 26 | 12–1:30 p.m.
Take a break from the traditional egg hunt at the Bunny Hop Skate at the Greeley Ice Haus. Skate around with friends and family — and even the Easter Bunny. This event costs just $3 and is specifically for your little ones ages 3 and up!
I) The 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Individuals with Special Needs — Fort Collins
Saturday, March 26 | 12-2 p.m.
In its 15th year, this Easter Egg hunt at Monfort Quad on the CSU campus is a great event for all ages! There will be games, face painting, pictures with the Easter bunny, food, prizes and of course, an Easter egg hunt. This event is free and open to those with disabilities, as well as siblings, families and caregivers.

J) Easter Keg Hunt — Old Town Fort Collins
Saturday, March 26 | 1 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
It will be a big day at My Big Day’s annual Easter Keg Hunt in Old Town Fort Collins! This event is the perfect marriage between a road rally and a bar crawl, and isn’t like your average egg hunt you take your kids to.
Participants are encouraged to dress up in costumes, coordinate colors by teams, or even adorn themselves in “Rabbit Wear”. Kick-offs take place at both 1 and 2:30 p.m. at Avogrado’s Number, where teams of 7-9 people gather for the 2-4 hour hunt. It is there that they will receive a bag filled with various tools for completing the scavenger hunt.
Teams will then embark on the hunt, solving clues as they travel to various local businesses around town.
Need some motivation? Keep in mind that the winning team receives a large keg trophy, and each team can gather drinks and goodies along the way! And after all is said and done — win or lose — your team can celebrate with food and drinks and swap stories from the scavenger hunt with other teams.

K) Loveland Ski Resort’s Amazing Giant Easter Egg Hunt — Georgetown
Sunday, March 27 | 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
If you’re willing to travel just a bit farther for an Easter Sunday experience your family won’t forget, we’ve got just the thing for you. Loveland’s Amazing Giant Easter Egg Hunt allows skiers to collect giant Easter eggs as they ski down the slopes, browse the Sport Shop and wander the base area. These limited giant eggs can be exchanged for some massive prizes — including skis and snowboards! This hunt begins at 8:30 a.m. sharp at the Basin area.
A hunt specifically designed for kids kicks off at 8:30 as well, off Chair 7 of the Loveland Valley. Make sure you don’t miss the Easter Bunny who will be dropping off more eggs and goodies as he skis down the mountain!
L) Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort Beach’N Egg Hunt — Keystone
Sunday, March 27 | 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
In case the Amazing Giant Easter Egg Hunt just wasn’t enough, there is another activity happening just down the road from Loveland Ski Area’s festivities on Easter Sunday. And we’ve talked about it before! Arapahoe Basin’s Beach’N Egg Hunt is designed specifically for kids, who can either participate on skis or on foot.
During the Beach’N Egg Hunt, they’ll search for the 5,000 eggs the Easter Bunny left behind on his ski run. Walkers will search at the bottom of Molly Hogan at 10:30 a.m. and skiers will start their search on one of Arapahoe Basin’s beginner trails at Wrangler at 11:30 a.m. All in all, this is a completely free event you won’t want to miss!
M) Easter Brunch at the Stanley Hotel — Estes Park

Maybe you don’t have Easter egg-seeking little ones to entertain, or you already got your Easter activity fill during the days leading up to the holiday. So it’s time to unwind, relax and indulge at Stanley Hotel’s Easter Brunch. Their extensive buffet will feature premium carving stations, fresh seasonal vegetables, omelet stations with all the fixings, an artisanal bread selection, and a wonderful dessert station. What a line-up! And above all, you’ll be able to enjoy your meal in the historic and fascinating building that is The Stanley Hotel. You must place a reservation in advance by calling 970-577-4001.
