12 Places + Events You Can See Santa in Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley and Estes Park

From Fort Collins to Loveland and over to Greeley — the Northern Colorado region knows how to welcome Santa Claus! With events and workshops taking place before Thanksgiving and past New Year’s Day, you’ll get your fill of reindeer, elves and holiday festivities this year. 

Gather up the kids’ wish lists, put on your most festive holiday sweaters, and hit the town for shopping, singing and celebratory fun. On our list, you’ll find parades, one-time events, seasonal workshops and plenty of Father Christmas sightings!


Foothills | Fort Collins

Fort Collins’ Foothills Mall will have the first Santa sighting of the year! He arrives on Friday, November 17 at 6 p.m. to light the huge holiday tree! This free event will feature kids’ activities, an ice show, and the seasonal opening of The Pond Ice Rink. Stop by throughout the season to share your wishlist with Saint Nick. Santa’s Arrival Downtown | Fort Collins

In one of Fort Collins’ favorite annual celebrations, Santa is arriving in Old Town on Saturday, November 18. At noon, he’ll arrive by horse-drawn carriage on the corner of Walnut and Linden Street next to the Old Town Square Stage. The festivities and workshop continue through December 17, Wednesday – Sunday between noon and 6 p.m., and then December 19 – December 24, every day from noon – 6 p.m. The shop closes at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Front Range Village Shopping Center | Fort Collins

Starting at 4 p.m. on November 18, Santa will begin making his annual appearances at Front Range Village. Follow the shopping center on Facebook for updates on when you can track down Kris Kringle!


Bath Garden Center | Fort Collins

Bath Garden Center will host Father Christmas every Friday and Saturday between November 24 and December 23. For just $5, you can visit Santa and meet two of his reindeer, take photos in the festive greenhouse, sip cider, eat popcorn and enjoy festive crafts like card making. Catch the Glow Christmas Parade & Celebration | Estes Park

This one time event on November 24 ushers in the holiday season the day after Thanksgiving with a musical parade, holiday lights, strolling animal characters, family hayrides and visits with Santa Claus in Bond Park from noon – 4 p.m. All activities are free and the parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Don’t miss it!


The Promenade Shops at Centerra | Loveland

During weekends beginning November 24 and every day December 22 – 24, you can meet Santa Claus at Loveland’s Promenade Shops at Centerra. Bring your camera during event hours (see those here) and don’t miss out on the festive horse-drawn carriage rides departing in front of the ice rink!


Colorado Model Railroad Museum | Greeley

Saint Nick is making visits to Greeley’s Colorado Model Railroad Museum 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on November 25, December 16, and December 23 with a special members-only Santa event on December 22. On Friday, December 15, the museum has 36 five-minute slots available to participate Night Trains with Santa; call (970) 392-2934 to reserve your spot!


The Gardens on Spring Creek | Fort Collins

As part of the Gardens’ annual Garden of Lights celebration, you can visit with Santa, listen to holiday music, make seasonal crafts, and enjoy warm drinks every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through January 7. The festive light display is open every single evening including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. You’ll find full event details here.


NightLights | Fort Collins

December 1, 5:30 – 7 p.m. | Get directions

This one-day event in Fort Collins is hosted annually by local charity Realities for Children. From 5:30 – 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, this free event will feature live music from Wendy Woo, free warm soup from Z Catering, hot cocoa and cookies, music from CSU’s Mainstreet Acapella, pictures with Santa, and a contest to win a 33lb Chocolate Santa from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! Santa Claus at the Mishawaka | Bellvue

December 2, 1 – 4 p.m. | Get directions

Santa is making his way to The Mish for one appearance on December 2. Bring your own camera to snap a photo with Father Christmas and don’t forget to grab a free cup of coffee for the parents and a free cup of hot cocoa for the kids!


Santa at Centerra | Loveland

For three Saturdays during December, Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves are setting up free Santa’s Workshops in Centerra once again! While Santa collects wish lists, all the boys and girls can decorate ornaments, participate in a coloring contest and listen while Mrs. Claus reads stories. Then, when it’s time for some fresh air, families can head outside for cookies, hot cocoa and a complimentary horse-drawn wagon ride! RSVP on Facebook to get a reminder on event day.

In conjunction with the Workshops, Centerra will host a winter canned food drive to benefit The House of Neighborly Service. All non-perishable, pre-packaged food items may be dropped off in the donation box located just inside The Group’s entrance and will also be accepted during normal business hours when the Workshops are not in session.


Outlets at Loveland | Loveland

Outlets at Loveland is celebrating with Kris Kringle December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24 between noon and 4 p.m. each day. It’s the perfect place to finish your holiday shopping and share your wish lists at the same time!
