What better way to get to know a city than to tour its local foods, sweets and drinks? Fort Collins certainly doesn’t have a shortage of any of these. We’ve already highlighted some of our favorite farm-to-table eateries, dessert shops and cocktails in the area. Now you have the chance to experience a few for yourself — all wrapped up in an entertaining and memorable tour.
Local Table Tours serves as culinary concierge for the Front Range. They began touring in Boulder six years ago organizing both private and community events centered around — you guessed it — local food! In 2012 they expanded into Denver and a whole new world of culinary experience. This year, they are debuting their Fort Collins tours with three unique events highlighting the things we love about our town. And we think you’ll love them too!
Coffee, Waffle and Chocolate Tasting Tour
September 14, 4 – 6 p.m.
Price: $35
For their debut tour, join Local Table Tours in a breakfast-for-dinner extravaganza! Beginning at a local coffee house and ending at a bean-to-bar chocolate maker, we’ll learn about the differences between cocoa beans and coffee beans and the various roasts each goes through before we get the delicious results. The Waffle Lab will also join in and help us discover how a Belgian-style waffle pairs with chicken and a cocktail (a breakfast-for-dinner necessity!). Register for the first event online!
Jessup Farm Tasting Tour

The second event will take us to Jessup Farm Artisan Village which celebrates the history of the early settlement as well as the more modern farm-to-table and market culture of Fort Collins. Local businesses Bindle Coffee, Jessup Farm Barrel House, The Farmhouse at Jessup Farm and The Loafing Shed will provide small plates, beer, pastries and coffees. You’ll meet the resident farmer at Jessup and get a chance to learn about the mission and culture at one of our new Fort Collins favorites — Jessup Farm! Register here.
Cocktail Tasting Tour
September 29, 4 – 6 p.m.
Price: $40
The last of the debut trio is the Fort Collins Cocktail Tasting Tour. You may have guessed already, but this tour features all things bar as well as the craft behind some of the best cocktails in Fort Collins. We’ll taste a selection around town and learn lessons on specific spirits, ice, shaking, styling and stirring — there’s a lot more to it than you might think!
